We finally got around to creating a blog that hopefully we can keep up to date for family and friends....
We decided to start our blog back when Tom and Misty first married and continue onto the present...
I really enjoy capturing the kids having fun! I decided to rake a bunch of leaves up and dress them up and just go crazy taking photos of them being silly! I probably took close to 100 photos, and luckily, I wound up with some cute ones!
We got the call from the doctor on Wednesday, September 16th, 2009 that we would need to be induced at noon tomm. Little did the doctor know or remember that this was the same day our oldest daughter was born, and the same day my husband was born. Now, there would potentially be three in our family with the same birthday.
September 17th, 2009 felt like a normal day in the morning but Tom and I could not get over the fact that we knew just when we had to be at the hospital that day. We took Cait to school that morning and made sure she had cupcakes to share with her class for her birthday. Nana and Grandpa were going to pick her up from school and spend the day with her, Cameron, and their cousin Haley to celebrate since daddy and I would be in the hospital.
Tom and I drove to the hospital, talking about how weird it was to have it planned out and really dreading my being induced. I had planned all along with this pregnancy to go totally natural and at this point we were trying to figure out a code word. With the girls, I had really bad back labor and could not handle the pain so I had an epidural. This time I really wanted a vaginal delivery without drugs.
We walked into the hospital and checked in like it was just a routine visit-still feeling really weird. We were showed our room and began getting all settled and hooked up to everything. We got to the hospital a little before noon and they placed us in room 16.They started the pitocin at 2:20.The doctor came in and broke my water at 3:30 and the hard contractions started at about 4pm.It was crazy at the end, I had to tell Tom to keep reminding me to breathe but I did it with no drugs and little Thomas Dalton was born at 5:09pm.It was truly amazing and crazy all at the same time!
It has become a yearly tradition for our friends to host a gathering for Seafair. We were able to attend this year and we had a blast. After the blue angels show, we decided to go for a swim in Lake Washington. The water was so warm since we had been having the hotest summer ever on record for the area. The girls love the water and they had a blast!
Bainbridge Island has a parade every year for the 4th of July and we decided to go this year. The outfits came from aunt Cynthia when we were in California last month-worked out perfectly! We now plan to make this a yearly tradition!
We found out today that we are having a boy! We are so excited to be expanding our family and to be having a boy this time! It was very exciting to be able to see him on the screen.
Grandpa Tom took us all to Disneyland. We had a great time! We spent three days at Disneyland and one at Legoland. We decided to splurg and do the character breakfast on our last morning and we were so thrilled we did! We saw so many of the characters and the girls loved it!
