It was a Friday morning at 4am and after showering and making sure my contractions were not going away, I had no choice but to wake up Tom at the crack of dawn on his 31st birthday. We drove to the hospital and at 9:11 that morning our daughter Caitlyn Marie was born. She weighed 8lbs 3oz and was simply perfect. She was all we had dreamt she would be. Becoming parents that day was the best gift in the world!
